The Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board (CTSAB) has made it a priority to reduce access to high‑risk areas such as bridges and railroad crossings. Through a strong working relationship with the Department of Transportation and ongoing collaboration across multiple divisions—including railroad and highway—Connecticut has expanded the presence of suicide‑prevention signage on bridges and at railway stations statewide.
Installation of approved signs may require a standard encroachment permit process that is undertaken by the town.
